Care and use: A "dry clean only" blazer or a "hand wash" sweater may be a dealbreaker. Better to learn that now than after one wash ruins it.
Know the return window and who pays return shipping
Even when you do everything right, you want a clean exit if the item still misses. Before you order, especially from a third-party seller rather than the platform directly, check three things.
The window: How many days do you have to start a return? Standard windows are often more generous around the holidays, but clearance and certain categories can be shorter or final sale.
Who pays return shipping: For some items the return is free, and for others the seller deducts the return cost from your refund. Knowing this changes the math on a borderline "maybe it will fit" purchase.
